I think this is the first PBeM (play-by-email) that I'd gotten involved in, but I can't quite recall any more... perhaps Slayers for the Future was the first. It's been a while, anyhow. The list is dead now, though. The theme was that all the magical beings who had lived on Earth were offered a chance to go to another world, where humans would not hunt and harass them. This was that place.
